Wix Announces New Method For Editing Page Level SEO Settings

November 17, 2022

Wix is a website builder that allows businesses to create attractive online websites. However, it has been criticized in the past for lacking basic technical SEO capabilities, such as adding structured data.

Over the past few years, Wix has focused heavily on site performance and SEO. This effort includes an SEO advisory board made up of trusted members of the search marketing community who are tasked with helping Wix grow and improve.

The latest term of the Wix SEO Advisory Board includes Loren Baker, Tasha Antwi, Kevin Indig, Mark Preston, Luke Carthy, Signor Colt, and Nikers85.

Next week, Wix will release a long-awaited redesign of the orainti SEO consultancy site. The new site looks great, thanks in large part to the help of Mordy Oberstein, Netanel, and the rest of the Wix team.

This is just one example of how SEO agencies are using Wix more and more often for their own sites. As Wix becomes increasingly popular as a solution for clients, it's also becoming a go-to platform for agencies themselves.

From Aleyda Solis' Twitter account on November 16, 2022, it is clear that Wix sites outperform popular solutions like WordPress in terms of core web vitals. This means that Wix provides a better user experience in terms of speed metrics. What's new is that Wix customers can now exercise total control of every page from a single place. This makes it very easy to update a site. The big change is that users can do the same thing from the SEO settings at a page by page level, without having to jump around to the page itself. This change applies to the following technical SEO factors: meta tags, title tags, and more.

Wix, a website builder and hosting platform, has announced new features to help users optimize their sites for search engines. The features include the ability to review and edit URL slugs, open graph data, and structured data. Additionally, users can check their site's indexing status.

This new functionality is currently offered in English and will roll out to other languages later. Wix describes how the new SEO settings work: "It is accessible from the SEO Tools section in the Dashboard, to EN users and will be gradually be rolled out to other languages."

The new Wix SEO Settings tool allows users to review and edit their meta tags for each page, as well as their URL slug, indexability, open graph tags, structured data markup, robots meta tags and even more – all from one place in the Wix Dashboard. According to Wix, this update helps users to be more efficient and save time when working on their SEO strategy, especially those dealing with larger sites, by giving them the flexibility to work faster, smarter, and at scale.

The feature is currently available for main pages and product pages but will eventually be available for other page types such as blog pages. Additional features include bulk editing of the meta tags.

If you're looking for an easy-to-use platform to create an attractive and search-friendly website, Wix is a solid choice. With Wix, you don't need to worry about the underlying technology - just focus on creating content and designing your site.
